Although Bluegrass fans will find plenty to like here, don't let the assigned genre scare you off. Yes, there's plenty of fine fiddle, mandolin and banjo playing, but the focus here is on melodic depth and texture.
The musicianship is impeccable in its execution, with the heavy hitters each contributing their signature sound in a tastefully restrained manner so as not to upstage. Ms. Jarosz's fascinating vocal range, as demonstrated in "The Tourist", is front and center throughout, making this one of the most delightful listens I have experienced lately.
