They sound so good together. There music brings me peace, I often turn to them as an example in life. This is such a great album.

This is the cd I have bought from this couple this week. I just happened upon them on Facebook, and I can't stop listening to them. I love the tones of their voices, the messages of their songs. This is the type of country music that I love. It is the heart of the genre, and not many are doing it like this.

I is so great to hear country music as it should be played finally. We are losing so many of the great country singers, it so good to hear these two try to bring it back. Keep up the good work.
  • Made to Last is truly an album for times such as these

... just a solid country album. Now you need to know that I'm not a "classic country" fan whatsoever. I came to country in the 90's with Garth, Clint, etc. I like listening to Little Big Town and Sugarland. However, last week I "binge listenened" to all the new country albums that came out in the last month or so. It was VERY disappointing to say the least. Mostly gimmicks, tricks and overproduction. In the middle of one of them (a former female winner on The Voice), I had to just stop it. Next on the list was "Made To Last." It was so refreshing to hear the "purity" of the vocals, the writing, the instumentations, and the production. I won't go through it song-by-song, but I will say that there's not a bad cut on the album. (Although I will admit that my least favorite is "5000 Names" a pretty sappy, contrived homage to the VietNam vets ... don't get me wrong, I'm not against vet tribute songs whatsoever.) Otherwise, many excellent ballads, and several rockin' "uptempo" numbers (Love "I Love You"). Strong effort, guys ... all about the music. Maybe I'm a classic country music fan after all.

I have always loved these two for the way they stick to their guns when it comes to Country Music. While everyone else has given into the pop culture to make their money, Joey and Rory have stayed the course and produced brilliant music that captures your heart and emotion. My only wish is that they would be recognized more for their traditional values!

This is good, traditional country music, from the home and heart. Wish this would be played on the radio. Wish Marcy Jo's was closer to NY too!

Just like Joey and Rory, the album, the song…all Made to last. Very Classic country. Reminds me of Dolly Parton and her Coat of Many Colors.
