When I first heard this, I was caught off guard like most people. I felt it was vulgar, distasteful and demeaning... After not being able to get it out of my head, and listening to it over and over I had to realize this narrative parallels a lot of women & men's lives. Did I agree with the content, no. Was this a reality in everyday life, yes. Was she talented, yes. I listened once again with open ears and learned to appreciate the unfilitered honesty the song represents. I actually enjoy the song now.
