This tune is so great, it’s done with mad style and class. I’ve grown up listening to Quik and this tune does nothing but show him respect. Reggae musicians cover each others and various artists tunes constantly. The haters out there are obviously amateurs and have no idea what they are talking about. I blast this tune on high volume and it makes me feel irie all over. I love it. Peace.

For those not from Hawaii, at some point, contemporary Hawaiian music went out the window and Reggae was co-opted by local musicians and henceforth has become known as "Jahwaiian" music. This is song is an example of said co-option and "Jahwaiian" has since become "the" preferred musical style of the youth of Hawaii and played ad nauseam on the local media outlets. It would be in your best interest to just purchase Bob Marley's "Exodus" for a prime example of the peak of the Reggae genre because everything else is just a watered down derivative.
Not only has the Reggae genre been co-opted by local musicians, but apparently Cheech and Chong's "Up in Smoke" cover art. Nice job, Mr's Boog and Fiji because this would have been huge for me when I was 10 years old when I knew of neither Bob Marley and Cheech and Chong. Not recommended.
