This a great blues album! I don't know how I missed it for so long but I'm sure glad to have found it. Luther sings with a bluesy grit and soul that speaks of years of playing/living the blues. The songs are well written and soulful. He has a penchant for soloing like a madman with a great sound and touch that I really enjoy listening to.Check it out you won't be disappointed.

This is, quite simply, one of the best blues albums ever made. Luther's singing, playing, and songwriting on his 3 albums with Alligator in the mid 90s were great, but this one in particular is phenomenal. Rock, soul, and blues of all types from stinging Chicago style to Delta acoustic are all present, and Allison masters them all. Truly a tragedy the man died right around the time of its release. If you buy one blues album, buy this one. It's just that good.
