One major problem...

The thing that one has to consider when listening to or rating a BLR song is that each song is meant to match with an actual music video. In this case, Gotye's "Someone That I Used to Know." While the song may be in desperate need of a parody, the video poses a challenge. In the video, there are too many shots of the singer singing, leaving BLR with little room for improvised inflection or filler lyrics. For example, their take on Michael Buble's video (a hilarious jam called "Russian Unicorn") sounds 0% like Buble's song. This is thanks to the cutaways in the video. In the Gotye video, cutaways are scarce, and what we end up with is a BLR song that sounds too similar. It's catchy, but you'll feel like you've heard this one before.
