Everything in this album is amazing! Anyone realize “Bloodpressure” is a song in Asphalt 8 Airborne? Keep on Rocking!

Every band has that one iconic album that just always seems to rise to the top, that sets them apart from the rest of the musical world, demonstrates their hunger and the potential of their musicianship. For me, this is the one. It delivers on every end of the spectrum. We get the gritty tube amp guitar riffs that fuse blues, alternative and experimental rock riffs together, the tasty, overdriven, funky and very unique drum chops of Darren King, the incredible musicianship of Roy and the rest of the crew, those longing, high range vocal runs from Paul, the sustained high energy uptempo tracks that you'd crank while dirt biking through the woods, the beautiful down tempo stuff that garnered them cross genre fans in the first place, and overall, just a collection of songs that all have depth, substance, and for me, longevity. This album was when the musical chemistry apexed, in my opinion. If I had to take a handful of albums with me to get me through the rest of my life, this would be one of them, along with the greats like Zeppelin and the Beatles.

Ear candy through and through. Listen from start to finish. Flawless transitions from such talented musicians.
  • Forgot their roots with Armistice, and Odd Soul even more so...

I've seen people saying that Mutemath has regressed and their new stuff is not as good as their self-titled album. I would agree that the self-titled was amazing, but Mutemath's new style is not a step back, or a step forward- just a step to the side, into new territory. And I think it's just as great as any of their older music! And to all of you haters who are dissing the "poor sound quality"- it's supposed to sound that way. That's one of the many things that makes Mutemath unique. Rate- 10/10
