Y'all are right; this isn't country in the strict sense. It's a seperate sub-genre called Country Rap (or Hip Hop). I generally don't like rap but what's more important is the message. I love listening to George Strait and more classic country as well though I don't see a problem with Colt Ford.

Bad, just plain bad. That's all I can say. This is the kind of crap that kills country music.

C'mon people. This is what our country music has come to? This is painful. I encourage everyone to listen to whatever makes them happy but please dont classify this as "country" music. This song should never be put in the same category as anything produced by REAL country singers like George Strait, George Jones, Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash, just to name a few.

OK, I like Colt Ford - I think his style of mixing a modern form of music with that of country is unique and when it's done right, it's good; and this coming from someone who would be considered one of the old breed of country listeners. Songs like “Ride On Ride Out,” “Gangsta of Love,” “Cricket on a Line,” “Cold Beer,” “Saddle Up,” and “Twisted,” all give a great display of Colt's lyrical and rhyming ability and are great songs. This song, however, is more a keen to “We Like to Hunt,” “Good God O'mighty” or “Like Me” - a constant repeat of lines which quickly become overused and make for a song that is short on lyrical imagination and any depth of quality. Sorry Colt, but this one ain't going on my iPod.
  • Country Is A Lifestyle, Not A Genre

1st off quit dogging on Colt Ford, Country is a lifestyle not a genre. I'm born and raised country and will be country until the day I die, just because you don't like rap doesn't mean a thing, it's still country in my book, it's modern and different I'll give u that. Colt did some work with Brantley Gilbert and John Michael Montgomery, check it out, then you can't say Colt isn't country. It's just a change and some people can't handle it. And they do play him on the radio, Nashville XM 11. Keep it going Colt Ford.
