The real version of this song is like 12 minutes long. You cut out some of the vocal stuff and pretty much all of the jam.

It's great to get more and more tunes from the Hendrix vault. He recorded profusely, yet only a handful of records were released or completed before his death. But the Hendrix estate is releasing a lot of new material; things that Jimi may never have released. But this gives us the chance to see the breadth of his interest. So, it's not warmed-over, recycled garbage. It's a footnote to one of the most creative guitarists in the world. FYI, Mr. Goncalves, Arthur Lee was not the "first" black hippy. That credit can probably go to Sly Stone who was hip and trippin' before Arthur Lee. Or Buddy Miles. Or maybe a many dozen jazz musicians who were hip before it was hip.

Jimi is to be remembered even during the holidays. Back in 1969/70 Jimi did one of the most memorable concerts on New Years Eve and Day at the Fillmore East. He did Auld Lang Syne and people were blown away. Give it to Jimi to improvise any song and any season as well. Merry X-mas Jimi and a Happy New Year. For me your spirit lives year after year! Thanks.

A great new twist to Christmas only Jimi could provide! A must have for all those who want some real soul in thier Holidays this summer. Jimi's rockin' guitar is nothing to be compaired to, even for these remakes.
