This is my favorite Country song of all time. I even love it a little more than Hank Williams Sr.'s "Your Cheatin' Heart"-
IF that's possible!!! His tenor, with Buck Owens' Mariachis make for possibly the most AUTHENTIC hankering for what you can no longer have, tune-EVER! I'd love to go to Mexico, if ONLY DAVID BALL WOULD TAKE ME. Since he doesn't know I'm alive, I'll keep on listening to this, and LOVING it!

To me, David Ball is the Jerry Jeff Walker of the 90's and the early 21st Century. I myself have had my fill of pop failures in country such as Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Taylor Swift, if you know what I mean. David here is one of the few who are keeping traditionalist country alive, and while he doens't get as much attention as, say, George Strait (hard to beat him), He's doing his share. Look at hits like Heartaches By the Number, Thinking Problem, and the always popular Riding With Private Malone. I think you'll agree. Great job, David, and keep on rolling out those hits!

I really love David Ball. This is perhaps his best album. It is a blend of Honkytonk and Western Swing. Riding With Private Malone is the most recognized track, but my favorite is the title track.

I was fortunate enough to spend a summer with David in Nashville. Lived in his house with him and ate at the same table and jammed nightly on old country tunes. His music is true "country" music and he is one of the greatest people I know. That summer with him and his daughter Audrey was the best summer of my life and David's music played a major part in that.
