Live Revelations

saw them in Raleigh NC in Sept '08.... AWESOME concert. I was thrilled to see that they released this album! Their live versions of these songs rock (pun intended) and, although I was disappointed that they didn't have "Tunnel" on there (one they did at the concert... phenomenal rendition, in my opinion) this is still some great music.

My favorite all time concert was this Revelation concert. I was so thankful that I got to go. Third Day has Bandon Heath and Revive there, which was a great intro; however, they certainly know how to entertain, sing, praise, encourage, and seem very transparent. It says somethin to me that they can come across as authentic as they do.

You can hear buckets of money invested in great audio quality ( lets remember its a LIVE PRESENTATION) and this is the way its supposed to sound. Great performance, great music, overall genuine. Tons of secular bands dream they sound like 3rd day..........even for a day!

My uncle keeps telling me to check this band out and as I am a fan of Live over Studio recordings anyday I bought this... and wow... dissappointment. And for whoever said their version of "When Love Comes To Town" was the best U2 cover they have ever heard... yikes. Much better stuff out there. I am gonna have to check some other albums out of this band before I fully make up my mind but this was not an album for me.

Third day is amazing band. They are amazing and their praise to God. Third Day members are amazing to meet. They're such good men and when they perform, they just perform for the Lord. He is the one we run to in a storm of life! Third Day: God Bless You!!! keep on the ministry!

Horable band I was at the movies the other day and there music video came on with all th army men killing people sad

As was mentioned in another review, the audio quality suffers - badly. The audience is more often captured than the band is - the engineer just didn't handle it very well. Also, the CD set is a bit anemic: 9 songs, and one of those is just simple chorus after a speech (albeit a very good one). Otherwise the music is great, all things considered; Third Day made a good choice of songs, however few there are. If nothing else interests you, download "When Love Comes To Town." It's worth the purchase of the entire CD; and it is by far the best U2 cover I have ever heard. But let's face it: these guys have been on major labels for 13 years now and have never put out anything truly awful. If "Live Revelations" is as bad as it gets, you may very well call them most talented and most dedicated Christian band on earth. If you're a fan, download this now; otherwise, I'd go with Live Wire before this.

This review is only about the revelation video. The video is okay but i wish they would show a little less picture shots and slow-motion and a little more live footage- it sort of seemed like a studio music video. Revelation is a great song and they perform it fine though. At the end they do a Lynyrd Skynyrd-ish southern rock bit that is pretty cool.

Third Day is awesome!!! They just keep getting better and better! The lead singer is so amazing and has a great voice! I LOVE THIRD DAY!

i saw the music builds tour in indianapolis and mac powell called all the bands up on stage and did this one. it rocked! mac powell and robert randolph sang b.b. kings parts and jon foreman (of switchfoot) and dan haseltine (of jars of clay) sang bono's parts. if nothing else but when love comes to town. third day is amazing live and anything live by them is going to be great. i have also seen when love comes to town performed live by b.b.king and i liked it better at music builds. peace day viss
