This song may not be up to today's pop ways, but it's just quite possibly the most amazing song yet, lyric wise. i agree with another review, because if you listen to it before watching the movie, you will probably yawn and move along. watch the movie, and you will see. and clint is great too!!!!

Having been bon in Detroit and having grown up in its suburbs, I can totally understand and appreciate this film. I have had the honor of meeting, knowing and having learned from many 'Walt Kowalski's' in my life. The song draws tears every time I hear it. Simple, honest, amazing! Thank you Mr. Eastwood and Jamie Cullum!

Loved the movie. Mr. Eastwood should have received a Oscar for his acting as well as his music. Bought the soundtrack and will also buy the movie when it comes available!!! Keep composing, acting, writing, and directing.

First of all, amazing movie. Really incredible. Secondly, Jamie Cullum is a genius. I've always loved his work, but this really hit home. One of his best. I can hardly listen to it without re-living the movie and being moved to tears. Excellent. Really excellent.

As someone else said in their review: Just close your eyes and listen to this song. It was already emotional upon leaving the theater, after hearing Clint Eastwood's voice followed by Jamie's, singing this wonderful song. Yes, it does sum up the whole movie. Beautiful !!! And Clint Eastwood once again deliver us a great story. The song is the golden key to take me to bed thinking about it over and over again.
  • This song stands on its own

Everyone says if you see the movie first you will get the song, and that could be part true, but I think the song stands on its own. The melody is beautiful in its own right, and you will probably only be wondering what a Gran Torino has to do with the song if you didnt see the movie.
