I don't know why, but when Peter Kater teams up with one of his Native American friends, the result is just mesmorizing. This album with special guest Joseph Firecrow is one of my favorite of his collaborations yet. Even though it's distinctly unique it is reminiscent of Peter's work with R. Carlos Nakai. The piano, native American flute, soprano saxophone and light percussion are just a perfect balance of sound and space. This album is great for deep listening or just relaxing background music for massage or dinner with friends. I give it my highest recommendation.
