With her inimitable pearly pipes Annie Lenox could make even the blandest tune sound ultra, but with these melodies and sentiments how could you not fall in love with her pearly opalescence again and again. I love it and I am only sorry I put it away ever.

Purchased the album and all but one song downloaded - Waiting In Vain. Paid full price - otherwise it would be 5 stars.
  • The song, "Waiting in Vain' should be bought individually

iTunes please change the option for the song "Waiting in Vain" to be sold individually and not 'Album Only.'

And still the only great work she's done wish she would put her heart and soul into another album
  • Awful

To hear anyone try to redo Whiter Shade of ...is just sad and pointless. It's like the cry of a sad puppy, whimpering in a cold, dirty garage.
  • Always beautiful

The covers are remarkable in depth and execution. I've been listening to this album since it's release and it still resonates. Beautiful and timeless.

I was exposed to the song 'No More "I Love You's" ' when I was in high school and honestly, I have been hooked every since. Shamefully, it wasn't until I got a little older that I found out that the amazing lead vocalist for the Eurythmics was the same woman I'd rushed out to buy each solo album of. Ah, the naivety of youth!!! But a lifelong fan was born for sure. Annie's version of A Whiter Shade of Pale will always be my favorite rendition and Waiting in Vain and Something So Right have been oddly strange anthems for several relationships I've suffered and survived through. But I could gush all day... Love has a soundtrack, and not surprisingly, Annie Lennox is singing it!
