Some of the remixes work quite well - The Mating Game is funky, if not too different from the original, and Overdue with its new menacing vibe is a cooll counterpart to the chill-out original.
Elsewhere, however, the remix is a total disaster - Don't Forget to Breathe should be reason enough to draw a restraining order banning so-called "Solid Doctor" from ever getting within a 1000 ft. from any music-related device. "Average Bureaucrat" would describe his remix better - mediocre, dull, soggy, boring, imbecile. "Our Remains" is another failure: the driving, fast pace of the original is replaced by a jumbled mass of disorganized percussive sounds that make no sense whatsoever.
Overall, however, the good ones outweight the few disastrous ones, and part of the remix charm is the wager on whether a remix will work or, like with those Solid Doctors, JABs and Menez Ones, send the remixers back to flip burgers instead of ruining music.

I had the pleasure of watching them in concert when they came to Dallas. Shana and the rest of the group were absolutely, POSITIVELY fantastic! I got to meet her as well; she's super sweet! I recommend Bitter:Sweet to any and everyone!

The original album is fantastic and you think how can it get any better...they remixed it. It is a soulful sophisticated CD. One you can listen to by yourself or play at a party. One of my favorite albums of the year.

I have to say, this album really is a good find. I've only heard a few of the tracks and im already set on getting it. =) Its like the Re-animation CD for Linkin Park, but BETTER!!! XD
