    Crystal clarity, perfect pedaling, beautiful music … Am listening to this over and over again … the fast pieces are perfectly executed with fabulous showmanship and the slow ones are like molten gold, lyrical and flowing - I would love to have a blu ray of this man playing … am sure it will be a feast for the eyes as well! :)

    Volodos is probably one of the best pianist out there. He is most certainly in the leagues of such pianist as Horowitz or Cliburn. He doesn't bang the piano. He, like Horowitz, play with clarity which enables them to get incredibly loud without making the music sound overplayed. When he plays the transcriptions that are soft, he makes the piano sound like it is liquid.
