What the hell is this? i am so disappointed. i hope RJ gets the message. this is a public service announcement: this is a broken record.

but the truth of the matter is, the most recent album, the third hand, is an amazing progression from the early rjd2. you can tell that he didn't feel like he had found his niche doing hip hop albums, as since we last spoke was somewhat of a bridge from deadringer to the third hand.. i urge rjd2 fans to buy this album, as the rjd2 quality is still readily present from start to finish.. give it a shot.
  • I miss his earlier work...

the title is pretty self explanatory but really, i miss stuff like deadringer...
  • Not a great experiment

Sometimes branching out like this goes well, and other times... not so much. I too hope RJD2 sticks to the alternaitve DJ/hip-hop style.
  • I'm not mad, just disappointed...

Wow, for anyone who used to love RJD2, prepare to be severely disappointed. He's left Def Jux and gone with a new, soft label. Too much singing, not enough hard beats. I want the old RJ back..
  • Different

I Don't Know...Im Used To Songs Like "Ghostwriter" and "Smoke and Mirrors", and Mostly Rj's Hip Hop-ish Stuff, So This New Album Is Just A Litle Different. He Uses Vocals In Almost All Of The Songs, and The Whole Feel Of The Album Is Different Than His Predecessors, With More Of A Pop Feeling. The Songs And Beats Arent Bad, Per Se, Theyre Just A Different Genre, Which Is Unfortunate In My Opinion. Not Horrible, But Certainly Not Awesome Either.
  • Good but weird

  • Not the best track to start with

As it happens, this is one of the weaker tracks from the 'Third Hand' album. "Work It Out" or "Beyond the Beyond" would have made much better singles.
