I don't understand why this guy does not have a single Platinum record to his name. The things he does with the English language makes you never want to pick up a mic, even if you're "just playing." He is clearly one of the game's top 3 lyricists. Don't matter the year; Ras will body whoever is tryin' to test him on the mic. He is the truth.

Ras Kass is what hip hop was about...producing product that he wanted to get out there, not what labels, record execs, or the public wanted to hear...its ashame because his first album soul on ice(which sells for bout $42 brand new on amazon) is an all time great, id put it up there with bob marley, the beatles, michael jackson, its a must have as far as music history is concerned...if the galaxy had a battle i think ras kass should represent earth...BIG UPS RAS, KEEP MAKIN GOOD MUSIC!

The illest, underappreciated MC in my opinion. None more passoniate about his music-you tell me who else is willing to risk jail for their music. It is felt in every line that is spit. Someone who is saying how things are with no fear.- A basic pricipal in Hip HOP's foundation. Art comes from the heart, Ras is a shining example of this.

Since his return from his time in the pen, ras kass has been putting out sick mixtapes and albums, this being the best by far for me. As usual, ras kass spits lyrical fire and proves that he is one of the best lyrical emcee's that the public doesn't know about. Pick this up if you want to hear a true word master delivering his craft in the highest form.
