The reason I've always loved Tosh, Marley, and Bunny is their ability to incorporate blues and soul music into their songs. Tosh is a masterful guitar player as displayed here.

I saw Peter Tosh touring in support of the No Nuclear War album. Great show. Never forget his introduction to his cover of Johnny B Goode: "This one was way back in the days of Jesus..." Good as that band was, I'd have preferred to see the Sly and Robbie band. Had a vinyl boot from 78--when Tosh was the opening act on the Rolling Stone Duppies Babylon by BankCard Tour. The boot was called "Dealing with the Shytstem" and had Babylon your Queendom falling. Sound was okay, but very nice to get an official release.
  • This is not the Al Anderson from NRBQ

...unless he turned black and grew dreads...there are two well-known musicians named Al Anderson. A little research, perhaps? Jeez...

As good as any live recording, and this one catches Peter in a fine groove. Heard "Legalize It" enough so no worries it is missing from this sample. Bueno, yet I want more...

Tosh has never sounded better live -
  • At the peak of his game.

Here's Tosh at the peak of his game in a sticky, heavy, beautiful performance. It would get the 5th * except that two songs, his encore for this show, 'The Toughest' and 'Legalize It', are omitted. For committed fans of Peter Tosh, this is a must have.
