I think that Boyz II Men did a wonderful job on these songs..konsidering that Mike is out of the pikture..Nate held it down..and The integrity of the songs were well preserved and they sung their a*ses off. I agree with some of the reviews, its not the "Evolution" or "II" cds..but I will say this...who else than Boyz II Men? Who's harmony, arrangements, and "NATURAL" vokal talent kan handle it...group-wise? You gotta give it to em..they're the illest...Legends.

I think the boyz put new energy into these songs...made them their own...great song choice, too...I think this 'Throwback' album is better than their latest release 'Motown Hitsville' simply because the songs they chose on 'Motown Hitsville' sound close to the original...the songs they chose are older and can't really be updated without disturbing their groove...
  • Nicely done....

I think the group did a great job singing all of those old school classics. The title of the album speaks for itself...

I am a huge fan. But imust say that this album was only ok. Not as good as II but much better than full circle.
  • The best group EVER!

I think BIIM can make any song sound great. I was takin back at first that they made an album of cover songs but no matter what they sing I think they will always be the best! I'll always give them 5 stars. I listened to them through high school, college, and now (ok I'm showing my age) Later
  • Disappointing

An excellent selecton of songs done poorly. Instrumentals are poorly balanced and equalized while the vocals lack the depth and luxuriousness of past Boyz II Men albums. Its as if a couple guys got together with a karaoke machine, recorded it, and pressed some CDs. The loss of one member is very apparent.
  • It's ok, I guess, but what is up with rnb voices?

OK, maybe I just don't get it. But, can't any of these rnb acts just sing a song without the weird vocal .. whatevers that they do? It's like where there should be one note for a 16th beat they have to interject 30 others. Just sing the damn song! Don't warp the already beautiful melody with your vocal /stylings\. Hold a note for more than a beat for once!

It's an album with some great moments. "Human Nature", "..Brand New", some good ones and a few missteps. IMO, "I Miss You" could have been so much better. But it was worth the money. One question "judge", I've never heard of "Hall n Oats". Did you mean "Daryl Hall and John OATES"? Just checking.
