Wow. After seeing the movie in the summer of 2023 I was blown away by the music. Stunning. The second I got to my SUV after seeing the movie I went to my Apple Music and downloaded a lot of the music. One of the best soundtrack scores ever. When I heard this music won at the Oscars I was not surprised. A must download

Melancholic, visionary, and imminent doom reflect, I believe, the stages that this music try’s to navigate. Even paranoia is captured by some of the pieces that were put to track over this film. Oppenheimer’s mind is really what is being transformed into musical notes and Ludwig G. has done a fantastic job.

It's better than a tipical Hans Zimmer score in that it has more personality and creativity in it's choice of instrumentation. That being said, I can't help but feel that Nolan has a certian way he wants his soundtracks to "sound," which can rob composers who work with him of much of their freedom to make music they want. (Though that's my personal opinon, not a fact).
