If you are only casually familiar with KGLW, you may expect a few decent metal songs mixed in with psychedelic-rock (amongst other genres). But, wow... they hit a homerun with this gem. Tool-like tempos and breakdowns. Vintage era Metallica riffs and leads. Production is top-notch. Yes, the album cover is a bit campy. Yes, the title is outrageous. But you should expect nothing less from these guys. You can see in the associated videos they don't take themselves too seriously while having a ton of fun. You would be stupid to pass on buying the whole album at this price. Buy it. Listen to it. Listen again. Then realize you have only been listening to this album for 6 days straight. Sold gold right here.
If you had to listen to one metal album in your life time this would be the one not to pass on.

Being a longtime fan I won’t get into details. Just listen already, your neck may nag you about it at first but your ears will love you for it. This has made 2023 worthwhile and impactful from a lifetime of music appreciation. It’s the first album I had to come in here and purchase. I might have to get a CD player again just to have a back-up plan if it all goes down. It’s a wild and beautiful time to be alive. Dragon lovers need apply.

This is the best metal album I’ve experienced in at least 25yrs. Do not judge the book by its cover. Being 54yo, I’d never heard of this band but after researching them & hearing some past releases, I think they might be the most talented band in our time.

Dudes....This album absolutely crushes, best new metal record I've heard in a long time. Thrash, Prog, Odd time signatures and Groves everywhere. I love how These guys bring it with a sound that's both brutal and funny at the same time, Awesome concept for a metal record -Humans destroy the earth and it is then taken over by giant reptiles. Every track here is great and I love how they all fit together within the apocalypse story line. If the final song "Flamethrower" doesn't melt your face I don't know what will. You can't go wrong with this one. Motor.. Spirit...Motor ..Spirit...Motor.. Spirit...

I sort of think the band’s album covers, album titles, band name itself are intentionally campy and preposterous. I might like this album a lot in spite of its dorky album cover
