Little Ghost

This group took me by surprise when I actually saw who they were, and we all know what I mean, I was expecting afros and dreadlocks but nevertheless I have sweet love, strength, the other side, wise woman and too much to ask on repeat, just to name a few, they do not disappoint…

Just stumbled across the song strength after hearing it on season 5 of Queen Sugar. Found out who the group was. Love their music. Great sound and smooth beats. Lead singer sounds great.

I heard “Money” on Tiny Desk and immediately fell in love. I don’t usually download, purchase, whatever based off 1 song but I had a feeling and I WAS RIGHT!!! This WHOLE project is DOPE!!! Eff what ya’heard!!! I have played the ENTIRE album from start to finish without skipping. Truly a new fan and can’t wait to hear what’s next!

Love Moonchild but the vibe wasn’t consistent throughout the album. Everything I Need and Wise Women are the only 2 solid joints in my opinion. Find a pocket a stay in it is what I like to say. Next album make it 10-12 tracks max.

This is another solid album! I have “Whistling” on repeat! Such an underrated song (and I wish it were longer)! “Still Wonder”, “Onto Me”, “Money”, and “Come Over” are also favorites. Smooth, lush, jazzy goodness!

I hesitated to speak on behalf of the latest offering from Moonchild until I had ample time to listen & digest. After the 2nd listen if found 3-4 cuts which I loved, after the 4th spin, I was completely along for the musical journey. The album seemed to grow and mature till the last track. I heard D’Angelo (Brown Sugar - Rhodes) influences on several songs (Sweet Love, What you’re doing & Everything I Need) and I also heard direct affects from the group KING on the track, Strength. Overall I loved the album!! 5 fav: 1 Still Wondering, 2 Whistling l, 3 Onto Me, 4 Sweet love, 5 Everything I need.

So when I first heard their music, I swear I thought it was one of those black underground groups. Well surprise they were white but it didn’t matter. I literally was anticipating this album cuz I heard several cuts, I pretty much wanted to album. My favorite cuts from the album, “Money” (love the horns at the end), “The Other Side”, “Nova”, “What You’re Doing”, “Get to Know It” and “Still Wonder”. Will be getting the vinyl soon.👍🏽
