Three songs in and wow I am SOLD. This entire album feels like you’re riding shotgun on a Sunday drive with Brad Paisley, Bruce Springsteen and a sweet, sweet gospel choir in the backseat. I haven’t heard anything this authentic since the 1970s. Incredible guitar solos? Got it. Thoughtful lyrics? Got it. Summer beats? Got it. Powerful ballads? Got it. This album took me on an emotional rollercoaster then left me with one final question: is Patrick Carpenter the song bird of our generation? I think yes.
