Don't waste your money

Orson Welles is great, but why is iTunes making us pay $20 for this album? iTunes has another album called "The Best of" that has the exact same two broadcasts as this one, plus many others, except the entire album costs only $10. Like this album, they make you buy entire thing instead of letting you buy individual songs. I only wanted the War of the Worlds broadcast, but a getting a bunch of extra stuff I don't want is worth saving ten bucks. Seriously folks, don't buy this. You'll only be spending more money than you need.
Very cool.....

...why buy them when these and many more Mercury Theatre on the Air/Campbell Playhouse episodes can be downloaded for free elsewhere?
The ultimate?

Although it was long before I was born, Orson Welles' work here is a perfect example of the kind of radio I enjoy listening to. I'm disappointed that the tracks are available for purchase "album only" because I already have War of the Worlds on CD. It's worth the $19.99 to buy both though. Aside from what Jim French does, I don't think you can find anything on the level of what was going on in the era where it was radio, not television, that entertained us. If I was going to argue this wasn't "the ultimate Orson Welles," it'd only be because War of the Worlds and Dracula are the only 2 episodes of his Mercury Theater series posted on iTunes that I know of.
