Crazy Girl sounds like something off of her stronger release CAT . Upbeat . I like when Lissie talks the lyrics too .Plus she pushs her vocals too. Likewise with the song Castles.
After that the song's go into the Lissies' usual mid octave autopilot mode .
I liked the moody sounding beats of " Stay" and" Hero" off her last release Wild West with her bringing the vocals down really low and deep and then bringing them up with such emotion .
The title song vocals are brought to incredible heights
I wish Lissie would get more moody in her songs with the vocals and the music. Maybe lean more towards the" very expressive piano" to complement her "sometimes " very expressive vocals and , slow down on the synthesizers
Maybe throw in a cover song too as she puts a nice spin on those.

I discovered Lissie last year while watching an episode of the new Twin Peaks. (Lissie is apparently a favorite of David Lynch and featured her in a closing episode performance.) I have been mesmorized by her talent ever since. Don't just buy Castles, which is fantastic, buy her whole library of work. Lissie is that rare independent spirit with phenomenal talent. Once you hear her you'll want to share her with friends and anyone who appreciates beautiful music.

Lissie keeps progressing and maturing in all aspects. Castles shows a lot more sophistication in her song writing. Since the first time I heard Lissie, I've felt she is under appreciated. I don't know what it would take, but people are missing out on an incredible talent.

I have been listening to Lissie for years, and this album is so raw. There isn’t a single song I dislike. Her broad range of style and her amazing voice makes for an album I won’t forget. I didn’t know how much I needed this album.
