Yea it's ight, but the band sold out. Dysfunction and Break the Cycle were where it's at. And now Aaron Lewis does country, total sellout!

Staind is quite the heavy band, but let's face it... Every band needs a little mix up with what they play, you can't play the same thing over and over. It's a very good song, it shows exactly what the title of the album states, the different shades of grey, or depression. It's almost like a ballads album for Staind. (for lack of better words.) if you can appreciate some good music this a good album for you, and even if you don't like this I'm sure you'll find at least one song you enjoy.

Very soft and bad album. I own every staind cd even "Tormented" and I can say this is their worst effort.
  • Simply, one of the five best....

Ah, yes. Staind's fourth album, "14 Shades of Grey." What's not to love about it? (Maybe the too-soft and pop-like sound (NOT!!) that some of you losers are saying.) This is definetely quality music right here. Sensational melodies that alternate between soft and heavy combined with signature Staind lyrics about hope, darkness, depression, and other things makes for a slammin' album. And, since it's the edited version, every single person can listen to it. Although, why did I-Tunes label "Zoe Jane" as explicit? It wasn't even created explicit! I wish Staind made that one their primary single for this album. It's definetely the best one on here, and that's no lie. You can even hear Aaron's masterful acoustic guitar playing throughout, even when the electric guitar kicks in.
