A live raw version of All Mixed Up one of the most underrated rock songs of all time makes this entire album worth it. Ben Orr's unique vocals and the sax solo at the end crush it !

The recording quality sounds fine to me, especially considering it's from almost 40 years ago by a band on their first tour. I doubt the record company had a live album in mind at the time, nor was budgeting for it. You get a live version of every song off the classic first album, plus a few others including a cover of Eddie Cochran's "Somethin' Else" which another reviewer correctly described as "out of character." So much so that neither Ric nor Ben sings it. Is that Elliot on vocals?

LOVE the Cars but this sounds like it was recorded in a shoe box!

Disagree vehemently with the review of the recording's quality. I have the vinyl version and it is fine quality. Now I have a digital version to take with me. All of the tracks are good. There isn't much out there of The Cars live early in their career. This is a good one.

So this is between their first and second albums. "Night Spots", which shows up for the first time in-studio on "Candy-O" (second album) is here. There are also a couple of tracks I haven't heard before. Never heard them play "Something Else", a cover song, before. Sounds quite out of character. "Queenie Hotel" is an interesting song I haven't heard before either. Overall, a good live album for 1978. I don't agree at all that it's a bad recording, especially for the time. In fact, it's one of the better live recordings I've heard of The Cars.

Cash grab by the label. This is a terrible recording. I'm sure there are better ones out there.
