Heavy and brutal. These guys put on a great live show.

Abbath is just grunting, and same drum beat, but it's still way better than any other new music out there. Music has gotten so cancerous, that even I accept this as good music.

Awesome release. Some of the tracks had to "grow" on me. Stand outs: To War, Winterbane (amazing video), Fenrir Hunts, Root of the Mountain. The video for his remake of Warriors is awesome, don't know why he didn't put it on this album. Could've done without the Priest cover of Riding on the Wind. It just seems out of place. Immortal who??

If you're into black metal buy this. If you're not don't. Enough said.

Nice to hear a band who actually plays instruments and doesn't play with a computer program to write songs. And is great at it.

Typical. Solid-to-great instrumentals, cool album cover, and then the vocals flush any interest I have.

This is an awesome album. His work with Immortal was great so this comes as no surprise

This album really surprised me! The production is the perfect balance of raw and quality. The music is brilliant! I've been an Immortal fan forever and this ranks up there with some of their best work at times! Definitely pick it up if you're on the fence. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

But I feel people like this album because they feel they should. If they don't, then they're betraying immortal or their loyalty for an old school name. Who cares, the album isn't interesting.
