The point of buying the re-release is to have the album now that's it's been remastered. Better sound quality, and it was remastered by Bob Power...the 5th member of Tribe! 25th anniversary of the album. Are you missing the point?

ATCQ Debut was Amazing then & it's as fresh now! Now the remixes- The Footprint remix is cool- sounds good but a little too fast- the pitch. Bonita Applebum remix is ok but no improvement. The J.Cole remix of Can I Kick It bumps & bounces the hardest- which makes the saying- 'save the best for last' so true! J. Cole manages to capture the energy and fun of the original record while keeping it upbeat jazzy!

Yes they are the same songs with 3 new remixes but the original songs have been remastered and sound much better than before. If you play the tracks side by side you definitely hear the difference and for me it's worth the $10.99.

I was hoping when I heard they were performing on the Tonight Show that they were putting out something new; maybe they will (fingers crossed). But it's good to re-release a classic; Midnight Mauraders should be next.
