After Wrath they went down hill. And even though I like Chino, I still didn’t care for embers. Just cannot get into this album no matter how hard I try. Some call it Progression of a band. I call it, we made it we can now try crap that wouldn’t have got ya here to begin with. When a band is no longer hungry. They implode. Very common tale.

Randy takes the vocals to an amazing level. John and Chris have great connection especially in Embers. Willie and Mark yet again knock it out of the park. By far the best sounding album yet with the most energetic songs.

I personally think this album is pretty good. I like the new twists that they put in this song. It made the band more interesting as a whole as well. The album title also goes perfectly with the album. Sturm Und Drang means Storm and Stress, which was a style that was the same style, but with a twist. Definitely buy it if you are a fan of Lamb of God
  • Transcendant. Immediate. Demands to be listened to.

Blythe's vocals are Herculean. Commanding. Like time is running out. LoG created an impeccable, timeless Metal album. This is a Gift. Listen to it every day.

I've gotta say, I have never really been a big fan of Lamb of God from the beginning. The music was just so-so for me and on top of that they were heading in the "too mainstream sounding for me" category. I bought a couple of their albums in the past but after one listen they just sat on the shelf for years. A couple of weeks ago I decided to give them another try so I popped in their Sacrament album and for some reason I was starting to dig them. After reading some articles on metal websites and looking at positive reviews of this album I went and bought it. WOW!! Hands down this is LoG's best album to date! Driving down the road listening to the album, I found myself headbanging quite frequently. I'm a strong critic when it comes to metal so I rarely give an album 5 stars. I believe that labels it with a "classic" status and an album has to earn that over time in my eyes. There were parts of a song or two that didn't do anything for me but overall these fellas just bang out riff after riff that will keep your neck sore for days. Not to mention I believe this is Randy's best vocal and lyrical performance. Straight up banger album that has turned me from a luke warm fan to red hot.

I love 512 and this is at best there 4th best album. As the Palace Burns to me is still #1 and 11th Hour will probably always be my favorite song of there's with Ruin and Blacked the Cursed Sun running in a close second. But as long as LoG don't become like Slipknot or FFDP and become to mainstream they will always put out the best Groove Metal on earth. No more Pantera equals LoG #1 Groove Metal band.
