In New Orleans, Louisiana, Nightwatch follows elite teams of emergency responders as they risk their lives working 8PM to 4AM ¬– the most intense and unpredictable shift of the day, when up to 1,000 calls are received. There’s a reason it’s called the graveyard shift. This real-life drama features multiple sets of partners in the New Orleans Emergency Medical Services unit, whose skills, dedication and determination are on full display. In the premiere episode, a man discovered in the street bleeding from numerous gunshot wounds brings teams of EMTs to the scene. While they work furiously to keep the victim alive before taking him to the hospital, the police immediately begin the investigation. Later, firefighters encounter a case of suspected arson.
