Description

In the tradition of free-wheeling tributes to adolescence like DAZED & CONFUSED, the film follows four young people (a cast of brilliant young newcomers in their feature film debuts) on the last night of summer - their final night of freedom before the new school year starts. The teenagers cross paths as they explore the suburban wonderland they inhabit in search of love and adventure - chasing first kisses, elusive crushes, popularity and parties - and discover the quiet moments that will later resonate as the best in their youth.

  • Great film in the tradition of the coming of age narrative...

This movie stays with you long after the credits roll. Whit Stillman comes to mind as a point of reference in storytelling style. Nothing seems forced, resulting in natural, believable performances. See it.

Horribly written with pathetic acting. Not "independent" - more like a high school film project. Moreover, an inaccurate portrayal of how kids live.

A coming-of-age movie unlike anything before. Not about the decade of our youth in bad fashion and haircuts, or a race to lose virginity. Instead, a film about the time in our lives when we felt we had found the start of our adulthood, knew we were leaving childhood, and wanting to hold on and let it go with a kiss. A film with deep meanings and mood about about the loss and gain of growing up. Beautiful and elegiac. One to watch and remember.
