Description

Emboldened by the return of Lord Voldemort, the Death Eaters are wreaking havoc in both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Dumbledore is intent upon preparing Harry for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. He needs Harry to help him uncover a vital key to unlocking Voldemort's defenses--critical information known only to Hogwarts' former Potions Professor, Horace Slughorn. Meanwhile, teenage hormones rage across the ramparts as Harry's long friendship with Ginny Weasley is growing into something deeper. But standing in the way is Ginny's boyfriend, Dean Thomas, not to mention her big brother Ron. Ron's got romantic entanglements of his own to worry about, with Lavender Brown lavishing her affections on him, leaving Hermione simmering with jealousy yet determined not to show her feelings. One student, however, remains aloof with far more important matters on his mind. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one.

I don’t understand the reviews! This movie disgraced the book! Shame on the director! Loyal fans watched this movie and got scenes that were not in the book, and didn’t get the full experience! For example, my favorite part of the book is where we find out that Draco Malfoy is a death eater. In the movie, you are given to many clues! FOR SHAME!!!!! I never thought that I would write a bad review for a Harry Potter movie! The only good parts were the acting and Slughorn.

Harry Potter I’m my opinion are by far the best movies EVER. I have watched all of them multiple times and really love them. The movies don’t always capture every detail from the books, I don’t blame them because the movies are already pretty long. All in all, I really love Harry Potter and would definitely recommend them. !

This is an unpopular opinion but half blood prince is the best movie and book. Sure it focuses on teen drama but that’s what makes it incredible, it gives us the beginning of real relationships in the world and also has a fair bit of action such as the Cave scene, the burning of the burrow, the penevese, the death of dumbledore, kidnapping of the wand maker. The mood lighting makes it even more fascinating. It sets up the plot directly for the next two movies. And it’s effects are amazing.

Luna Lovegood is a character that got too much fanfare than deserved.
  • A mix of a dark backstory and a high school drama film

This is definitely one of the weaker Harry Potter films, but it’s still great. This is an unpopular opinion, but I find the relationships in this more fascinating than Tom Riddles backstory. The way Hermione reacted to the Ron Lavender relationship is just....brilliant. It really blossoms one of the best relationships in the series. Also my second favorite relationship(Harry and Ginny) started in this.
