The Number 23 is both the title of the film and the book within the film, and the number 23 is intertwined in the plot of the novel and, therefore, the man's real life. Oscar and Golden Globe-nominee Virginia Madsen (“Sideways,” “The Astronaut Farmer”) co-stars as the wife who bought him the book that causes his paranoia.
