Description

Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Love and Thunder“ finds the God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – one of self-discovery. But his efforts are interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late. Directed by Taika Waititi (“Thor: Ragnarok,“ “Jojo Rabbit“), from a story by Waititi & Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, “Thor: Love And Thunder“ was produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum. WARNING: Some flashing-lights scenes in this film may affect photosensitive viewers.

I would call it a perfect movie. It had great characters, action, locations, superheroes combing powers, humor and a love story. Fave movie this year so far

While many internet trolls as well as lackluster critics are quick to dismiss this amazing flick it’s actually really fun. I’ve watched it on Disney+ about eleven times now and it’s definitely one of my favorites of all time. Whether it’s Chris Hemsworth’s Thor looking like Jack Burton from Big Trouble in Little China, Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor, Russell Crowe as Zeus, or even Christian Bales phenomenal performance as Gorr the god butcher, this movie is absolutely a summer hit. Unlike other MCU titles Love & Thunder doesn’t rely heavily on the events that took place during Avengers Endgame to push its story forward. Instead much like Thor Ragnarök, the brilliant Taika Waititi has not only brought back old characters but also set up future installments while simultaneously expanding the MCU in a way that it leaves true fans wanting more.
  • Thor himself was funny and cool

Everything else just reeked of one form of propaganda or another.
  • The end of Marvel universe

Marvel seems to have nothing else to offer. The plot is ridiculous and the jokes are bad. Like it was written and directed by a five year old. The scene with Zeus at the end confirms the next story will not be any better.

Huge fan of Thor but this may have been then worst movie I’ve watched in 30 years. No joke. They couldn’t decide if they were doing a Monty Python movie or a Thor movie. Don’t waste your time.
  • Thought this was a parody…

I just had the unfortunate luck of watching this movie last night. I seriously thought it was a parody and was waiting for the good acting to kick in. But unfortunately, the tongue-in-cheek, mediocre acting, and unfunny comedy concept persisted throughout the movie. I don’t know if this was the director’s intentional style, but it didn’t come even close to the mix of heartfelt moments, witty humor and well choreographed action scenes of any MCU movie up until this. It was very very minimally entertaining, but I definitely don’t want this unserious, unfunny, uninspired parody-style direction this movie chose to take spreading to any future MCU movie.
