Description

This intense, high-speed cyber-thriller is based on a series of mysterious, unsolved real-life events. It starts as genius hacker Connor discovers Cicada 3301, an online treasure hunt that could be a recruiting tool for a secret society. Soon Connor, art- expert friend Avi, and secretive librarian Gwen are dashing from graffiti sites to ancient libraries to uncover real-world clues. But they must outrun aggresive NSA agents, also hot on the trail of Cicada, who want the glory for themselves.

    Lots of action, lots of suspense, but if the ending is lousy it ruins the movie. Bad ending, bad movie. I think maybe the writers of the movie were trying to put in a sneaky plot twist in the end, thinking that was a cool thing to do, but...NOT!

    Great, funny flick. The best part about this movie is the comedy. I was expecting some sort of dark conspiracy movie, but liked this more. Had a good pace. Would watch again.

    I wish I had my $9.99 back and the time wasted trying to get to the end after watching this absolutely awful movie. I was hopeful because it appears that they did a little bit of homework, but overall, the premise fell down after about 30 minutes in, and it just kept getting stupider and stupider. Kudos to the actors for finding the ability to actually say some of the most idiotic and un-actable lines in one of the worst scripts I've ever sat through.

    Don’t waste your money and time! This movie struggles with the plot! Hollywood movies have taken a turn for the worst lately. They will appeal to single, angry, nihilistic twenty-some college kids only.

    I couldn’t finish this is was too cheesy and stupid. Horrible acting from no name people and seems to be a super sensationalized spinoff of the whole cicada thing.

    This film is a terrible incoherent mess. There are some laughs at the start but it devolves into a contradictory anti-government rant with unexplained weird plot divergences that did nothing for the story. I wish I could get that 1hr 45 minutes back.
