Tom and Gemma (Jesse Eisenberg and Imogen Poots) are looking for the perfect home. When a strange real-estate agent takes them to Yonder, a mysterious suburban neighborhood of identical houses, Tom and Gemma can’t leave quick enough. But when they try to exit the labyrinth-like housing development, each road takes them back to where they started. Soon, they realize their search for a dream home has plunged them into a terrifying nightmare, in this taut thriller filled with white-knuckle suspense.

I love this movie and the concept behind it. One of my biggest fears is being trapped and this movie really triggered that fear. To this day I have nightmares I get stuck in this suburb with my ex.

This movie looked so good but just as the characters in this film are stumped, we the audience are also left stumped. The end is very disappointing and the movie feels like a giant waste. One big head game that the audience too embarks upon, with no satisfaction to be mercied or merited. Watch something else. Trust me.

I feel like the trailer almost leads you to believe there would be hope and that they’d somehow escape. Incredibly disappointing and DEPRESSING!

This was an abject waste of time. Where a coherent story could have been crafted, lazy and cliched writing took over for a meandering stumbling of a plot that ultimately led to nowhere at all.

Complete drivel, but at least it was a good effort. Like, here's a trophy for effort and participation. Everybody wins! Yeah, just like the carnival that rolls into your town every summer and your kids would be unreconcilably tainted if you didn't buy them wrist bands to go nuts on vomit inducing metal contraptions for 4 hours on a sticky night in August. Whew! That took my breath away. What certainly did not take any of my precious breath away (wear those masks, people) was the atmosphere and un-linear (is that a word?) progression of this film. Vivarium is a cage or house of animals where they can be observed and studied. Isn't that a zoo? Anywho, the longer you watch this movie, the less answers you get. It all comes crumbling down in the last 10 min or so. It goes from creepy to bizarre to brazen to diabolical to death. The stench of death is strong in this one. One star for creepiness (hard to find that inanimate quality these days) and one start for, well, Imogen. The freaking "real estate broker" will give me nightmares until I never see his smile again. I think the little boy was possessed and needed an exorcism. Whose parents would let their innocent 6 year old play such a devlish character? Thank you, mom and dad, for not making me move to Hollywood and take demeaning acting jobs to make ends meet. Just leave me off ramp somewhere, anywhere, on the 101.
