Description

"A portrait of a quintessential New York artist" (The New York Times) and "irascibly entertaining" (Village Voice), DON'T BLINK is a documentary about Robert Frank, the legendary photographer and filmmaker behind the seminal book "The Americans" and landmark films like PULL MY DAISY (with Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg) and C***SUCKER BLUES (with the Rolling Stones). Directed by his longtime editor Laura Israel, the film is an exuberant and fascinating journey into the images and words of an iconoclastic artist, a Swiss-born man who reinvented himself the American way, and is still standing on ground of his own making at the age of 90. The soundtrack features Lou Reed, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, White Stripes, Yo La Tengo, Tom Waits, and more.

This film captures Robert Frank in action and shows just how spontaneous he is when creating his art. Very entertaining and fun to watch!

A great look inside the life and work of the 20th Century's most important photographer. Frank is somewhat elusive, so this is a golden opportunity to see the man up close and personal. I must also note, the soundtrack is killer.

I loved this film! I am an enormous Robert Frank fan so it was a real treat to watch. I've actually seen it three times in theaters, twice to NYC and once in Pennsylvania where I got to meet Laura Israel after a Q&A. A great film about a great artist! And the soundtrack is amazing too!
