Description

What is the validity of history found in the Bible? Is it fact or fiction? What does the hard evidence really have to say about the foundational story of the Old Testament: the Exodus out of Egypt? An in-depth investigation by documentary filmmaker Tim Mahoney searches for answers to these questions amid startling new finds that may change traditional views of history and the Bible. For more than 50 years, the vast majority of the world’s most prominent archaeologists and historians have proclaimed that there is no hard evidence to support the Exodus story found in the Bible. In fact, they say that the archaeological record is completely opposed to the Bible’s account. This view of extreme skepticism has spread from academia to the world. The case against the Exodus appears to be so strong that even some religious leaders are labeling this ancient account as historical fiction.Filmmaker Tim Mahoney begins with the question, "Is the Bible just a myth, or did the archaeologists get it wrong?" He decides to tackle this issue with a deliberate scientific approach. After examining the details in the biblical text, he journeys across the globe to search for patterns of evidence firsthand. The result is the most in-depth archaeological investigation into the Exodus from Egypt ever captured on film.

Fabulous movie, and I love the fact that some of these interviewed in this movie have changed their thinking by the time Red Sea Miracle Part 1 was done!

How much more evidence do we need? Great filmmaking. Experts should say we don't believe Exodus however there are events similar to Exodus but it doesn't match the timeline, but we're also not 100% on chronology. That would be a more factual statement. Shows how bias academia is.

I enjoyed the interviews with the egyptologists and traveling footage. I also liked the hieroglyphs read to demonstrate Israelites in Egypt. A tablet unearthed in the conquest of Canaan period was cool too. I didn’t like the pointless interviews but it was needed for transparency. Overall, I recommend to at least view it once!

As a Bible student, I have many questions about the accounts of the Bible. I believe that we should be able to find proofs of everything. This movie does a great job showing the evidence and supports the fact the that the Bible suffered small alterations here and there. I wish the director could make a movie for each book of the Bible.
  • They need to revise Egyptian chronology.

I've noticed for years that the evidence consistently matches the Biblical account. Except all the experts keep telling us the events that are turning up in the archaeology are way too early. Timothy P. Mahoney tells me everything I already knew about this evidence and much, much more. I'd like to point out that if the statue in the pyramid he talks about is indeed of Joseph, then he had red hair - just like his Uncle Esau! One more detail we just can't up and ignore. I've always been amazed that archaeologists ignore the manifold critical details. Honestly? I think this is Satan at work. Hate to bring in "old Snatch" like this, but the blindness is truly a wonder to behold.

Best but most factual documentary I’ve probably ever seen. One of the best things that can be shown in catholic schools for all children whom have received confirmation because I feel if they were any younger they wouldn’t understand it as well.
  • Wonderful Documentation

The story timeline of the Exodus is really well laid out and gives 100% proof of the bibles accuracy and infallibility-2 Timothy 3:16
