Muse really just can’t write a bad song! This might just be my favorite album of their’s! Best songs in this album: Knights of Cydonia Eco-politics Starlight Map of the Problematique Supermassive Black Hole Muse has practically made anthems for me, and have done that in their later albums as well. Greatest band ever!!!

It took a while for Black Holes and Revelations to grow on me, but once it finally did, I was blown away by it. The vocals on this album are some of the best Matt Bellamy has ever done (especially those in Take a Bow, Supermassive Black Hole, Soldier's Poem, and Hoodoo), in my opinion, and though the songs on here are superficially simple, there is a TON of underlying (and in my opinion, intriguing) complexity to each of its tracks. The style they used is extremely diverse, too, so it has been difficult for me to get bored of it; it's almost addictive. I found that their songs' lyrics were occasionally simple, but they seem to have deeper meanings and more nuanced messages once you (attempt to) analyse them. I also found that I could relate to quite a few of the tracks once I realised this; Map of the Problematique is practically my "anthem" now, which was something I did not think I would end up saying the first time I heard it. I will post my ratings of each song eventually, but for now, all I can say is that this is an exceptional album. If you were disappointed upon your first listening experience but are willing to give it another chance, please do--it's totally worth it. - a picky musicophile

The hits are really good (supermassive black hole, starlight) but also listen to the other songs because they are good too. I love map of the problematique and assassin

Music that can make the lost believe again, it can remind us that music is indeed art and that hope is not lost.
