The album is the original, and I love it! There is one thing...where is “Stuck on you?” Wikipedia and many other things say that this is the album that “Stuck on you” is in, so where is it???
  • An Incredible Album

If you look at the music coming out in 1960 record companies were pulling back the reins on rock & roll and it was as watered down as it can get to avoid all the so called negative issues with Jerry Lee, Chuck etc... but one album comes out that assured everyone that rock & roll was still alive and kicking. Elvis is Back and it's accompanying singles were an amazing shot in the arm. Elvis was in better voice than ever before, in fact the guy coulda sang a menu and made it sound great. The sound was better than anyone else's, the songs were killer, like Make Me Know It, A Mess of Blues ( one of my favorites ), Dirty, Dirty Felling, Such a Night and on and on. Elvis sings the blues like no other on this too, check out Reconsider Baby, Like a Baby. Maybe the 50's stuff is what chasnged the culture, but noone and i mean noone sang like this in 1960. Put this collection in context of the time and you'll understand that he really was an incredible artist and there was nothing close to him at the time. he sang as raspy as Rod, as smooth as Marvin and everything in between. Try it and please tell me if you think otherwise. I don't think you will and definately worth the $$$.

This is one of Elvis' best albums. The sound on this album is very different from his 50s output. The sound moves away from Rock and into a more Adult-Friendly/Pop sound.

Elvis had just returned from the Army when this album was released, and I didn’t know what to expect. It had such variety and every song was great. It was quite a treat for his fans; I didn’t know he could sing so many styles of music so well. My favorites are the blues songs 'Reconsider Baby' and 'Like a Baby’, partly for the Boots Randolph saxophone solos.
