A co-worker knew I liked the Chili Peppers, and this was the best secret santa present I ever received, bar none. I had the double album in my old school CD Shuttle for at least 3 years, but it only took a six months before I realized how genius this double album is. Flea and Frusciante at the absolute pinnacle of their musical genesis. If you have only given the hits a listen, I recommend a listen from start to finish. My long-term faves off this album include Wet Sand (disc 1) and Readymade (disc 2, the hardest rock song on the album, "ahh give it up Johnny"), but I usually play it thru and must give a strong endorsement to Charlie (best all-time Fleazure Bass jam combined with a really solid Frusciante guitar jam in the final minute of the song), Stadium Arcadium, Slow Cheetah, Especially in Michigan, as well as Hard to Concentrate, 21st Century, Animal Bar, Storm in a Teacup, and Turn It Again. Gotta go listen right now!!

When Stadium Arcadium came out, I only listened mostly to the main singles released...Snow, Dani California and Tell Me Baby. Fast forward eleven or twelve years and I discovered the song Hard To Concentrate which I freaking loved! I have been a fan of the Chili Peppers most of my teen and adult life, but I will admit only really listened to their well known songs. Well now with the release of their newest album and their channel on Sirius XM I have discovered a huge amount of great songs I had never heard..specifically off of Stadium Arcadium! Wet Sand, Hey, Death of a Martian and 21st Century are some of my favorites, but the whole album is great. I just saw them in concert in Nashville and they did Strip My Mind which I had never heard and loved! This is a great album. And if you get a chance to see them in concert....GO!
