For the life of me, I've never understood why people disliked this album. As a 16 year old high schooler facing some of the toughest moments in my life, I found this very soothing to listen to, and extremely relatable. As an adult, I appreciate it even more, particularly because of how helpful it was to me during a very dark time of my life. The songs are beautiful, the lyrics are gorgeous, and the softness in Jeff's voice all combine to create a very different, but still lovely, Wilco album, one that will forever have a very special place in my heart.

I don't understand the haters on this album--I think it sounds fantastic and enjoy it very much. This album, strangely enough, with "impossible Germany" and other great tracks were my "rock" go to songs during a combat deployment to Iraq. Great songwriting, performance and production. I love it, great job wilco, keep it up!!

Sky Blue Sky is sort of lost between Being There and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, and especially since it follows up the ridiculously indulgent A Ghost is Born. It’s tender, it’s recorded and mastered beautifully, and is cohesive an album as one could want from Tweedy and Co. at this point. Maybe my 4th favorite Wilco album, after YHF (obviously), Being There, and The Whole Love. 4th is still extremely high praise for a band that has produced a great deal of quality music over the years.
