A Dotted Line

Have always loved them!!! Great music!!! Hope they keep making music!

Unfortunately from the opening chords of “Rest of My Life” which are distorted and over-compressed to many of the songs having an irritating high-end EQ, this album is kind of ruined by bad mixing and/or mastering. It’s too bad because the same high-talent performers are there - the same high-quality songwriting is there but it shows you how rushed production can lead to an album that is physically hard to listen to. And no, it’s not my iTunes EQ problem - I always keep that flat so I can hear the production of an album. I find myself getting irritated as I listen to the album, and over-abundance of mid-high to high-end frequencies can do this. Kind of a shame and wish they’d just re-master it and let us download it again.

Compared to the last couple of CDs “A Dotted Line” lacks the Deep Compassion and heart felt vibes that was so evident in their songs such as “The Lighthouse Tale” & “Out of the Woods” just to name a few. Hopefully they will draw from the same well; as they did on their last CD next time they get in the studio. That been said I bought “A Dotted Line” to add to my collection of Nickel Creek. These guys are still awesome.

So glad they got back together for another album. If you're tired of Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Lady Ga Ga, and all the other mainstream stuff, give Nickel Creek a try. If you like country music, but want something with more substance, give Nickel Creek a try. All of their albums are incredible. Each one a little different from the other, but all great!

I literally just came across this group while switching channels to an ACL TV special and was immediately enthralled by their sound. Siri couldn't recognize a single song so I waited till the end to find out their names. So happy and looking fwd to hearing their awesome music from now on

Almost everything Chris Thile is involved with is AMAZING, Nickel Creek is no exception. The Watkins siblings deffinatley add to this group and the three of them make this album great.

Don't get me wrong I love the solo work but when they work together collectively they make magic. MORE PLEASE!!!

I just recently saw them in concert (thank you for getting back together). I had not realized that they had a new album, however, when I heard their new songs at the concert we instantly purchased their CD.

Huge fan for years. I was a little nervous they wouldn't still have "it" when they got back together. So happy to see they do!
