when I first listened to Music has the Right to Children I was hooked, BoC is one of my favorite ambient musical artist to this day, and their music is surreal and chill, perfect for relaxing on a warm day, or a long car ride home.

In my humble opinion, the best BoC album. Every track a gem of strange other-worldly beauty. Superb.

This is my favorite SOUNDING Boards Of Canada album. Compared to the other BoC albums this one doesn't have the exact creepy vibe that you get with Geogaddi or some tracks on Music Has The Right…. It instead to me seems more abstract and allowing of the listener to figure out their own feeling for it. It doesn't pressure you in any way and because of this I think that any listener can embrace this album with open arms. If you are just starting out to listen to BoC than I suggest listening to this or Twoism.

I love this album so much because every time I listen to it I seem to find something new not heard previously. It inspires me to produce my own electronic music when I hear it. 84' Pontiac Dream transports me away from my desk job!!

  • The album that changed music for me

This album totally captivated me and pulled me away from listening to only metal, and introduced me to a beautiful world of electronic music. This album ditches the scary, sinister tones of Geogaddi, and foucuses on relaxation, calm, peace, and happiness. I cannot thank the brothers enough for making this a beautiful, peaceful album. If this was another album akin to geogaddi with all the creepy tones, I never would have been capitvated by the Boards and found even more beautiful music.
