  • SHAME!

These guys should look back on this album with nothing but shame, regret and sadness. I know I do. As a huge fan of their eariler work, this garbage is totally unlistenable. Avoid at all costs. Graham is the worst offender here, by far. Even the lyrics make no sense. "If anybody had a heart..yours would never be broken.." Seriously?? This is seriously shameful. Every time I see the stupid album cover I get mad. CSN: The Muzak Album. FAIL!

Some pieces on this album sound a lot like really bad Genesis songs..

Ironically, the only good song to come out of these sessions was "Chuck's Lament", which was released as the B-side of the Title Track, but alas, was not included on the album!
  • CSN deliver several good tracks

This album gets beat up alot, but there are some choice tracks on it like Crosby's "Arrows" and "Yours and Mine", Stills delivers a sitar laden "Tomboy" and the Nash tunes are enjoyable pop tunes. As a long time CSN listener, this album is well worth several listens.

CSN has an identity crisis on this record. It is produced like an 80's pop album. CSN are a folk rock group and here they are out of their element. "Haven't We Lost Enough?" and "If Anybody Had a Heart" are probably the best things here. Overall, don't waste your time with this one. Get "After the Storm" instead; it is way better and totally underrated.
  • Very poor album!
