Foreverly (Track-By-Track Deluxe Edition)

I read a blog post by Billie Joe on this album on how his mother listened to the Everly Brothers when he was a child and how their music had influenced him growing up. I wish more artists would do things like this, not only record songs of artists that had a effect on them but also comment on the process and what they were thinking. It's brilliant and I hope to see more of it.

This is a timely update to the Everly Brothers' album, "Songs Our Daddy Taught Us" and to the Everly Brothers' musical legacy. I was in high school when I bought their album because I loved listening to their songs, their harmony, etc. Nora and Billie Joe bring their own musical talents to those old songs and enrich them even more, yet are very true to the harmonic style of Don and Phil Everly. Phil Everly died today, and I'm going to listen to this album and remember being back in high school and how much this music meant to me back then. Great album! Beautifully done. Thank you!
