Stumbled across the song 'Enemy' while on the /r/dirgemusic subreddit. Loved it a lot, enough to leave a review of the song on that site.. Tooling around youtube after that led me to the tune 'Lights Out' on this album. It is a ten dollar song, in my opinion.. It has everything going for it. Excellent lyrics that mean something, an arresting female voice, and the last minute of the track.....all that a rock enthusiast could want: slow 70s guitar, crisp drumming, mmm! Cant say enough good things about the track!

Your voice and song writing are perfect. You are not afraid to get to the raw emotions. I hope you are enjoying all of the success you deserve.

i've never heard such a board voice in all my life,... this is practically putting my dog's to sleep and this is crappy. her voice is nice,... but she's singing about squat, pointless squat.

This did not meet my expectations. I expected this to sound as young as Angel looked, meaning I figured it would be on the immature side but not by a long-shot…surprise surprise, I was taken aback by every track. Well done.

At last some good contemporary tunes! This woman has an amazing voice, so unique with so much emotion. Can't stop playing Hi-Five, the whole album is great. Thank you Angel Olsen you are awesome!

this is an instant classic. the best part is that it seems to be practically recorded live. she is a true artist I have grown to love this album so much, it is the perfect end of winter album. if you spent this winter alone. like me. haha if you get only one song, get two and get 'Dance Slow Decade' and ‘Windows’, though I don’t think it’s very likely that you will be satisfied with just two songs.
  • Pretty boring actually

I bought this hoping for a blues/folk kind of sound, as it read a review that described it that way. Instead it ended up being a monotonous droning voice over a few notes being repeated over and over. Lyrically sort of interesting, but you'll only notice if you can manage to listen to the music without falling asleep.
  • melodically beautiful.

I discovered her music through “Pitchfork” and can honestly say that it’s a great album from start to finish.
