I can still remember the Simpsons reference to the buttholes where Todd Flanders wears a Butthole Surfers T-shirt and says, "Look daddy, I'm a surfer." Or Gary Shandling Show's private 'date' where the band plays a messed up version of Ulcer Breakout in the cameras background, while Gary tries desperately to win the girls heart. Or even Chris Farley and David Spade rocking out to the Lord is a Monkey. After seeing that I couldn't help but wonder what the world is coming to? I think this album along with pepper is what broke out the BHS to the mainstream. But, their live shows is what made them legend.

I think they were all on acid their entire career. Great album though!

Breakthrough song and the bass on it used to thump sound systems.

10/10 would surf again

Only a couple of missteps ("My Brothers Wife", "Let's Talk About Cars") in an overall entertaining BHS album.
